Learning Gap
The learning gap for these learners is how to conduct the actual consultations with the faculty, staff, or graduate students who are having issues with instructional technology in the courses they are designing or teaching. The gap for the learners should be consistent across most learners, though some may have more experience helping others through troubleshooting technology. This course focuses on the interpersonal skills and best practices for conducting a comprehensively helpful and successful consultation.
Instructional Strategy
This course includes an asynchronous learning activity, ideally followed by individual feedback from a supervisor or mentor and peer observations with feedback during the course of their onboarding and training.

5. Interactive Module

I created the module in Rise 360, since I have access to it and the built-in functionality and ability to embed external content made it very fast to build the module and incorporate the materials I have previously built during this program. I also appreciate that Articulate hosts the published course, since I do not have server space to host such a course directly on my site.
There are several interactive components in the course: video, audio narration of an infographic, and an accordion in place of a long list. The video and infographic offer a break from large blocks of text and the audio is important because I could not see a way to provide alt-text for the images, only captions. Even with alt-text, the infographic is fairly extensive, so an audio format was more friendly than alt-text would have been. The accordion summarizes options discussed in an article and allows learners to click only on the options in which they are interested, as some may already be familiar with certain options.
